music lessons for new parents

Are you a new parent (mums & dads) who is looking to start an instrument, or continue their learning, but now has a constant +1 to factor in?

Recently becoming a new parent herself, Emily has experienced first hand how your life changes - changing for the better but also can throw up lots of transitions and new challenges! 

If you are interested in learning the cello, piano or singing and would like to be able to have your child there with you, then this is the class for you. 

Emily is patient and flexible to adapting the lesson to cater for the needs of you and your child. She will provide a friendly, laid back and relaxing space, whether that is in your own home or online. 

Complete beginners are welcome, along with those who are wishing to continue their learning. 

Emily will work with you to set realistic practice goals and study in between lessons if you wish, or is open to keeping it relaxed with an understanding that parenting is probably filling up most of your time!

• £18 / 30 min lesson 
• £30 / 50 min lesson 
• £10 / 30 min trial lesson

Whatever your chosen instrument, the lesson content and structure can be the same as my regular lessons. 

The difference is that these lessons have flexibility for a little one having a cry/a change/feed/a hold etc. 

For example, if you came for a piano lesson and your child needed to feed, whether that be breast fed or bottle fed, that requires your hands! I would then alter the lesson to perhaps practise some theory, discuss your progress, questions or learning goals. Alternatively, we could go through technique demonstrations and look to overcome areas of challenge in your playing.
